Uber lowers its sign up bonus in San Francisco from $1,640 to $1,250 guaranteed

Lately, Uber has been lowering the sign up bonus in San Francisco. Previously the sign up bonus was $1,000,  then they lowered it to $700. They then gave us a $1,640 guaranteed bonus before they lowered it to $1,250. The guarantees make things more complicated.

Are things slowing down? Are there too many drivers on the road? Is Uber eventually going to give up on sign up bonuses? These are all good questions. All I know is that things are definitely changing.
