After Uber’s tough start to 2017 with scandals and bad news coming out one after another, Uber’s CEO has resigned after being pressured by investors.
This move may not come as a surprise for some as Uber has not been moving in a positive direction under Travis Kalanick. The workplace culture of Uber has often been described as toxic under Kalanick’s rule and it has lead to situations such as when one of their female engineers was sexually harassed earlier this year and barely anything was done to correct the situation or make it better.
With a new CEO, Uber can now move forward and take steps to correct Uber’s culture, which hopefully will make an impact for Uber drivers as well in some form.
