As part of Uber’s 180 days of change, Uber has made some improvements to the pickup experience.
- You can now see your rider’s location live – If the rider chooses to share their GPS location, you will be able to see exactly where they are on your app.
- Guest pickups – Riders can now request an Uber for guests who do not have the Uber app. The rider will enter in the information of any guest who will need to be picked up and the guests will get an SMS containing your information as well.
- Reminders for riders – Riders will be notified that you are waiting for them if you have been waiting at the pickup location for longer than 1 minute.
- Scheduled advance trips – If a rider has scheduled a trip in advance, you will now see it on the request screen.
