After Uber decided to be more detailed and transparent with their ratings as well as explicitly saying that riders may pay more or less than what drivers earn for the trip, Uber drivers became outraged at the amount of money they are actually making as well as the fact that their earnings do not changed based on the rider’s rates.
Uber drivers have taken to Twitter and are speaking under the #deleteuber hashtag again to air their grievances. This hashtag was previously used to protest against Uber by riders for trying to profit off of the taxi strike in New York due to President Trump’s Muslim ban earlier this year.
