As part of Uber’s 180 days of change, Uber has improved the ratings system to give you more protection and clearer feedback.
- Updates to the star rating system for riders – If a rider selects a rating under 5 stars, they will be able to select options stating common problems they might have had an issue with the ride such as the driving experience, comfort, the driver, etc. This allows Uber to know more specifically what the problem was. This feedback will appear in the Rider Feedback section of your Ratings tab.
- More confident feedback – Riders won’t see their updated rating until after they’ve rated you, allowing you to provide feedback with more confidence.
- More ratings from riders – Riders will be reminded before their next trip to rate the previous trip.
- Ratings protection – If a rider rates you below 5 stars, reasons outside of your control will not affect your driver rating. Additionally, riders who constantly give low ratings will not be included in your driver rating.
